Courses Description
Courses are organized in several levels, depending on the experience and knowledge of the participants:

Freestyle Tap – Roxane Butterfly (Open Level):
In this course you'll learn to:
- Know musical structures, armonies, dinamics and know how to direct an Orchestra.
- Descover several ways of improvisation: With a Standard Theme, Freely (free-jazz) and with other musical types of jazz.
- “Interpretate” starting with a narrative theme and knowing the cultural meaning of diverse rhythms.
The course include videos with the most great improvisation masters.
Hoofalogy – Roxane Butterfly (Intermediate-Advanced):
This course want to transmit téchnic and "Ideology" of original Hoofers. You'll learn exclusively the most known steps of Jimmy Slyde, Eddie Brown, Chuck Green, Lon Chaney or Buster Brown...
Worldbeats Repertory - Roxane Butterfly (Advanced):
This course takes the original style of Roxane Butterfly. She will teach us an entire choreography of her Worldbeats show.
Tricks and technic – Guillem Alonso (Intermediate):
Don’t forget the importance of the technique to grow as a tap dancer. Guillem will show you how technique can have different applications in different rhythms, and some tricks to get speed. You’ll also learn some of Guillem’s best combinations!
Spanish Tap – Guillem Alonso (Advanced):
After the big success of Tap Olé Guillem has been ask to show Tap mixed with Spanish music around the glove. You’ll learn one of the pieces of Tap Olé “Asturias” from the composer I. Albeniz.
Sand Dance – Guillem Alonso (Open Level):
Guillem has become one of the few sand dance specialists of today, so don’t miss the opportunity to learn this fantastic percussive dance. Bring your leather shoes and we’ll put the rest!
Dr. Henry LeTang Rutines – Yukiko “Smilie” Misumi (Intermediate - Advanced):
Last year, in April 26th, Henry LeTang death. He was one of the most important theacher and choreograph. Yukiko, keeping the promise she made him of keeping her legacy alive, will teach us some of the routines of LeTang Master.
Improvisation – Roser Font (Intermediate):
We will focus on musical structures and diferents ways of dancing diverses stiles of music (latin, swing, funk,...). We will work on find our own resources to improvisate and enjoy the dance.
Rhythm Tap – Roser Font (Basic):
We will work on technique, choreography, musicality and diferent rhythmics posiblities, mixing swing and latin ejercices and transforming the body in a percusion instrument.
First Steps – Basilio González (Level 0):
Fordwaring especialy to dancers from other discipline, músics and general people who are interested in tap dance. In this course we'll work on basic steps and will create a basic choreography to fix the steps. No Tap Shoes are required.
Lindy Hop – Pep i Emi (Nivel abierto):
Fundamentals of the Lindy Hop as a couple dance. We will work on connection and Lead & Follow concepts as basis of social dance:
Moves with Kick Steps:
We will learn how to lead and follow moves with kicks (Charleston, Counter Kicks, Back Charleston). We'll enjoy the energy of the Charleston of the 20s and the fast Swing of the 30s.
Moves with Triple Steps:
We will learn how to lead and follow moves with triple steps (Swing Out, Inside Turn, Outside Turn, Texas Tommy). We'll enjoy the contagious rhythm of the Swing of the 30s and the late

Flash tap – Rubén Sánchez (Basic):
This course will introduce us in Flash Technique. Pull backs, wings, combos, jups, over the toes... Allways taken special care in muscles and articulations protection.
Fosse Style Jazz – Kristin Freya (Intermediate and Advanced):
Throughout the workshop students will hone their Jazz technique, such as: Fosse style placement of body alignment, isolations, footwork, leaps, turns, gestures, undulations and stage presence. During the week, students will learn lively and highly stylized Freya original Jazz dance pieces as well as explore and create their own Jazz movement through creative improvisational studies.
Tap: From Heart to Sole – Deborah Lysholm (Basic):
From the most basic rhythms, such as the human heartbeat, to the multiple layers of an intricate composition, dancers will explore the music in their souls and in their soles. Beginners and experienced dancers will fine-tune fundamental technique and build on that solid foundation to learn more intricate patterns and routines. In addition to the footwork, entire body placement will be emphasized to refine the dancer’s presentation and ability to exude passion and confidence while communicating in this most amazing art form.
Breakdance. Basics and More – Carlos Garcia (Basic):
Breakdance introduction (history and origins). Introduction to basics and foundational steps. Basics covered in depth, foundation: top-rock, get-downs, footwork and freezes.
Body Percussion – Jep Meléndez (Beguiners + Int./Adv.):
Basic exercices of Body Percussion, to star finding our body and sound in it. Work in pairs and in group, and finally a little choreography. In Int/adv level we will work the listening and polirithmics
Hip-Hop – Levi Martin (Basic):
Hip hop is an aerobic and acrobatic style of dance that has basic technique of foot work and floor work that is accented by each individual’s free style and perspective. Levi’s class will begin with basic movement and then progress to a more advanced pace as the class is able. Students will be encouraged in their own free style development.
Flamenco – François Soumah (Basic):
In this course, we will study flamenco in an individual work including foot technic and movements, working in diferent basic zapateado, "escobillas", etc; Expression and body movement, arms, hands... Also we'll learn basic "palos" concept and dramatic art in different dance styles.
Irish Dance – Erin Comaskey (Basic):
In this 1 and 1/2 hour class, students will be introduced to the basic concepts of Irish hard shoe dance, including foot and arm placement. They will then apply those skills to a dynamic choreography using Irish rhythm, traditional figures and modern music.
Warm-Up & Stretching* - Eva Ximenes (Open Level):
In order to help to the prevention of injuries and to prepare physics for the long day of tap dancing, we have the classes of warming and stretching based on a general work by exercises of unspecific type and exercises of individual gymnastics and a specific warming to prepare the parts that we more employ in tap dancing.
*This course is free for the students registered in 3 or more courses.
